Nuwan Kulasekara—Mostly overshadowed by his teammates, Kulaserkara hopes to make his mark in this year’s tourney. A great bowler whose finest, but hopefully not last, hour came in 2003 against Australia, Sri Lanka is hoping that he can repeat that performance through each match and lift Sri Lanka to the crown.
Upul Tharanga—an explosive player to watch and who has put up big numbers in the past, Sri Lanka is hoping he can overcome his inconsistent play and return to a championship form. He is known to be a great scorer and has some big production over the years which makes it easy to see why Sri Lanka has added him to the team.
Dinesh Chandimal—the youngest of the five, he is looked as the game changer. He is explosive and a great batsman. Sri Lanka is looking to him to put up big numbers that will turn any game around and head for victory.
