However, no matter who you pick, any painter is going to find their job difficult if you don’t help them out a little.
Preparing your home for house painters can make a huge difference in the time it takes them to get the job done, as well as making sure nothing in your house is damaged or covered in paint afterward.
If you’re not sure how to do that, here are the steps you need to take.
Move the Furniture
When hiring painters, you should move the furniture out of the rooms that are being painted. However, this sometimes isn’t possible with larger furniture like sofas and tables.
When the furniture is too big to move, you should push them to the center of the room and cover them with something. Expert painters shouldn’t be getting paint anywhere near them in that case, though it’s still better to move them out of the room if possible!
This also gives the painters room to move without being pressed against the wall they’re painting.
Clear Everything Else
It’s just not the furniture — you’ll want to clear away everything else. Although professional painters shouldn’t make too much of a mess, it’s best to expect the worst and clear everything away just in case.
This includes electronics, rugs, anything it’s possible to remove from the room.
If you’re leaving things like rugs in there, they should be rolled up and covered to ensure no paint gets on them.

Clean the Walls
Although you might not think you need to clean the walls if you’re having them painted, paint can stick to dust, dirt, and grime. This can make the job look uneven, and even the best painting company doesn’t usually scrub the walls beforehand.
Instead, you should take it upon yourself to do it. Remove the dust and cobwebs with a small vacuum and then scrub the wall to ensure all of the stains and marks are gone — or at least as invisible as possible.
This means that the painting job will look all the better when done.
Leave It to the House Painters
The last thing you’ll want to do is vacate the area so the house painters can do their job! Chances are, that room isn’t going to be usable for a few days, and it may even be a good idea to leave the house while they’re getting the job done.
That lets them work quickly and efficiently without having any interruptions. If you’ve hired a good painting company, trust they’ll do a good job!
