HOW TO: MAKE YOUR OWN BLOG BUTTON WITH CODE/TEXT BOX

Hey guys,
This is an old tutorial on my blog, but I know a lot of you haven't seen it yet!
So here is an old, but useful tutorial about how to make a blog button for your readers to grab!
Hope this simple tutorial is helpful!

***

Here's a short tutorial, inculding the code for your button!!!

First, you'll need to edit a picture to make your button. Some free online photo editing sites are:
LUNAPICPICNIK,  PIXLR, or FOTOFLEXER (there's TONS more)

I would make your button 125x125 or 150x150

After you have your button picture made, you will need a "direct link" for your picture.

To do this, you will need to upload your picture on a image hosting site.
I use:

Once your photo is uploaded, you will be able to get a direct link to your picture...

Now all that's left is entering the direct link to your picture and your web address in the CODE:

<center><a href="THIS IS WHERE THE CODE FOR YOU WEBSITE GOES" target="_blank" title="Button"><img alt="Button" src="THIS IS WHERE YOU PUT YOUR PHOTO LINK" /></a><center>

Now,  that's just the code for your button. If you would like to add the box underneath your button so others can grab it, like this....

You will need to make a code for the button and the code box.

here's the code: (just for the code box)

</center>
<center><textarea id="code-source" rows="3" name="code-source"><center><a href="THIS IS WHERE THE CODE FOR YOUR WEBSITE GOES"><img border="0" src="THIS IS WHERE YOU PUT YOUR PHOTO LINK" /></a></center></textarea></center></center>

Now, for both codes...
The top is for your button
The bottom is the code box

<center><a href="THIS IS WHERE THE CODE FOR YOU WEBSITE GOES" target="_blank" title="Button"><img alt="Button" src="THIS IS WHERE YOU PUT YOUR PHOTO LINK" /></a><center>

</center>

TO ADD IT ON YOUR BLOG...
go to DESIGN...
ADD A GADGET...
HTML/JAVE SCRIPT...
AND COPY AND PASTE!

There you go! It's not too bad, is it?
Let me know if you have any questions!

Mucho love.

DIY: CHAIN NECKLACE

Hello Friends!

Today I will be showing you how to make your own "Rocker Chain Necklace". This necklace will add a little fun to any outfit!

Let's get started!

You will need:
Scissors, Jewelry Tools, Jump Rings, Long Necklace, Different Sized Chains,

Find different sized chains for necklaces, I used some from my craft supplies and an old bracelet. Use whatever you have in your house. Cut your chains to different lengths for dimension and for a "layered" look for your necklace.

Add jump rings to the end of each chain to add to the necklace.

Put each individual chain on your necklace, arrange as desired. I put the largest chain in the middle.

Add as many chains as you would like until you like the overall look!
There you go!

Now you have a fun rocker chain necklace, to add a little glam to any outfit!

I hope you enjoyed!

DIY: "CANDY HEARTS" {VALENTINE} BANNER

I was looking around my room, and thought to myself! Oh, my! I need some Valentine's Decorations!

So, I decided to make this cute little banner in honor of those "Candy Hearts".

Here's what I did:

1. Supplies you need: Paper, Scissors, Makers, Ribbon.

2. First, fold your paper in half, and cut a heart. Trim the edges until you get the desired heart shape. This will be the master that you will cut around, so you can get perfectly shaped hearts each time you cut.

3. Cut as many hearts out, in as many colors as you would like.

4. Write cute sayings on each heart.

5. Tape your hearts to a fun, festive ribbon.

6. Hang up, and ENJOY!

 I hope you enjoy!
and Happy LOVE Day!

HOW TO MAKE A FB TIMELINE COVER...

So, you know how facebook is always super annoying and changes their layout constantly? You know the new "timeline layout"... Did you further know that I sorta like the new layout? I know crazy right.

Well, I decided to make my own custom "Timeline Cover" and thought I would share with you what I did!
Take a look!

So, here's a step by step of how to make your own, you will need,
facebook, pictures, a photo-editing site, (I used picnik.)

Now, let's get started...

First you will need to pick out a "collage" setting you would like. I used the "fancy collages" and found one that I thought would be super cutesy buttons!

Do you like how you can see what I was doing before... Haha. I was editing my "Tutorials Page" so you can see all the links on one page... hehe.

After you pick your design, add pictures. I knew my profile picture would cover the far left picture, so I picked on that I didn't mind would be slightly covered up.
The far right is me with my Grandpa. (Miss you!)

After that, I slighly changed the levels to get the overall look that I wanted.

If you feel like it, you can add a little text to your picture. I added, "be strong and of a good courage" from Joshua 1:9. You could add your website, your family name, your family moto, and funny joke... you know, whatevs.

Now, save your photo so you can upload to facebook...

 Isn't it purty?

Now. upload to facebook...

And reposition your photo, you won't see all of it, so keep that in mind when you're editing. That's why I left so much of the collage on the top when I was editing, so I would have room to move it around, so it would look exactly how I wanted it too!

And, you're done!
Now you can customize your Facebook Timeline!

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial!
I always link my tutorials to these great sites, "bee" sure to check them out, and link up your own tutorials on my Talent Tuesday!

Let me know what you think!

XOXO,
Nichelle
