So, you know how facebook is always super annoying and changes their layout constantly? You know the new "timeline layout"... Did you further know that I sorta like the new layout? I know crazy right.
Well, I decided to make my own custom "Timeline Cover" and thought I would share with you what I did!
Take a look!
So, here's a step by step of how to make your own, you will need,
facebook, pictures, a photo-editing site, (I used picnik.)
Now, let's get started...
First you will need to pick out a "collage" setting you would like. I used the "fancy collages" and found one that I thought would be super cutesy buttons!
Do you like how you can see what I was doing before... Haha. I was editing my "Tutorials Page" so you can see all the links on one page... hehe.
After you pick your design, add pictures. I knew my profile picture would cover the far left picture, so I picked on that I didn't mind would be slightly covered up.
The far right is me with my Grandpa. (Miss you!)
After that, I slighly changed the levels to get the overall look that I wanted.
If you feel like it, you can add a little text to your picture. I added, "be strong and of a good courage" from Joshua 1:9. You could add your website, your family name, your family moto, and funny joke... you know, whatevs.
Now, save your photo so you can upload to facebook...
Isn't it purty?
Now. upload to facebook...
And reposition your photo, you won't see all of it, so keep that in mind when you're editing. That's why I left so much of the collage on the top when I was editing, so I would have room to move it around, so it would look exactly how I wanted it too!
And, you're done!
Now you can customize your Facebook Timeline!
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial!
I always link my tutorials to these great sites, "bee" sure to check them out, and link up your own tutorials on my Talent Tuesday!
Let me know what you think!
XOXO,
Nichelle

I don't see how this qualifies as a tutorial, your just recommending one use Picnik to edit their photos.
Thanks for your input. I find that the easiest "how to's" are the ones I find helpful. I hope you find tutorials you see as more helpful, but thanks for stopping by.
Thank you for this! Picasa also has a collage creator!
Thanks!! :) I just tried this and I love my new timeline cover :D
I love this! Thank you for the step-by-step process! :)
If you use that exact collage, flip it under "rotate" before inserting text. That way, your profile picture doesn't cover part of the far left picture :)
Also, picnic is closing :(
That's adorable! I knew I could do it but was lacking the inspiration. Off to make something cute - thanks! :)
{And yes, isn't it sad Picnik is going to be no more?! I have Photoshop, but still, not the same.}
This is awesome! I can't wait to sit down and DO IT! Visiting from TT & J
Thank you so much! I just followed your tutorial! I would have NEVER been able to do this alone, thank you so much for your help!!

Hi Nichelle,
I am trying to follow your tutorial but there is not a link for collages on picnik anymore! HELP! I LOVE what you have done and would like to try it.
Thank you!
Cristina
Thank you. I love this. I did it and it worked. Didmu hearbthey are closing picnic. I am so sad. What are you going tomuse?
Hit welcome tab then the small start button to thevway left on top,
Awesome tutorial! My business webpage is also a Facebook page so I was really excited to try this out. I also had trouble finding the collage tab. I saw Beth posted on how to find it. I clocked on the Welcome tab but there is no "small start button to the way left on top". Any suggestions? Please and thank you :)
