CHALKBOARD MUGS!!!

Um, yes. WE DID.

We (Elise, Jessie and I) made CHALKBOARD MUGS. We are super cool.

This was an awesome, fun, exciting project! I highly recommend it!

Paint your mugs with Chalkboard Paint.
You'll do TWO COATS.
One coat horizontal, one vertical.
Dry one hour between coats.

Then, it needs to dry 24 hours.
Ugh... longest 24 hours of MY LIFE!

Lightly rub chalk on the finished mug to 'condition'.

Clean off with some H20 and starting COLORING!!!

Now, some "Mug Shots"... Haha. Oh, me.

Oh, also, during our 'Chalkboard Mug Making Night',
we also got some pretty sweet tattoos of Ray from 'Princess and the Frog'...

Our SWEET TAT PICS are courtesy of ELISE'S PIECES.
(aka MY BFF... she blogged about this too... check it out!)

{She's also having a Mary Kay GIVEAWAY worth $70!!!}

Giveaway ends....2/7/11

Well, I'm off to go color on my mug!

Thanks friends!

Mucho LOVE!

I've been wondering if chalkboard paint would work ok/not wash off on glass/ceramics. I'm guessing it did! :)

What kind of paint did you use for the handle?

Those turned out too cute!

Hey lady - I'm having a few mommies over tomorrow for a play date and we are making these for Mothers Day (grandmas). I have a few questions...
Can it be washed in the dishwasher?
Is it safe to drink out of?
Has any of the paint came off at all?

Please let me know, so I can share with my mommy group.

Thanks and LOVE LOVE the idea!
