First, let me just say how much I love paper, scissors and glue.
I only need those three things to keep me happy...
Well, maybe some ice cream also....
{This is such a CHEAP project!}
{LOVE- since I'm uber poor... YAY FOR COLLEGE!}
Oh yeah, see these PENGUINS. I also LOVE penguins.
~~~This is what I did at work... made snowflakes and penguins....~~~
I KNOW, RIGHT!?! My job is awesome!
I hear this a lot:
"NICHELLE!!! We need you to make something!!!!!"
ALRIGHTY! Now, on to the tutorial!
PAPER PINWHEELS
(they aren't "pinwheels" I just can't think of what else to call them... heh)
1. You'll need DOUBLE SIDED PAPER, scissors and glue or tape or staples.
2. Make sure your paper is SQUARE. Then, fold in half.
3. Cut strips starting at the folded edge of your paper. But leave about an inch or two at the end.
Do as many as you like. I like 3-4.
4.This is what your paper should look like.
5. Open your paper up, and attach the corners of the middle section you cut.
6. Do this for all sections. Alternating each time the direction you connect them.
YAY!
LOOK at this CUTE little one I made!!!
NOW FOR
SNOWFLAKES!!!
Use the directions for the PINWHEELS, except you'll be making 6 of them for your snowflake!
It makes things A LOT easier if you make two clusters of 3 before trying to attach them all together!
Then attach your two clusters and you have a BIG STATEMENT!
I made light blue snowflakes for a work event, and they look SOOOOO CLASSY!
(I would show you, but I didn't have my camera at work.)
HAVE FUN!
Mucho Love!
-Nichelle
Love, love, love these snowflakes. Two years ago I made 150 large ones and 200 smaller ones to decorate the ceiling of the hall my daughter's reception was held in. What a statement it made.....
I love those snowflakes. I love them so much that I never took down one of the ones I made last year! It's been hanging in the window all year!
